Instagram business: How to add an Instagram account

Adding your Instagram business account to Heropost is easy!


Preconditions

  • Instagram account's type is business (neither personal nor creator)
  • Instagram account is linked to a FB page
  • You have admin role on the linked FB page.
  • If the Page connected to the targeted Instagram Business account requires Page Publishing Authorization, PPA must be completed or the request will fail.
  • If the Page connected to the targeted Instagram Business account requires two-factor authentication, the Facebook User must also have performed two-factor authentication or requests will fail.


If your account does not appear on the list to add, it might lack permissions from Facebook. Please follow the steps below:


Please go to Heropost App on Facebook:

​https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=business_tools


Please click on “Edit Settings” button. Then, you should click on “Business integration settings” and in the next page, click on “view and edit”.

You should select all the accounts and buttons and activate them.

Please activate all permissions available, including all accounts and even the ones you don’t even add to Heropost. It’s necessary because Facebook requires full permission on the app to work successfully.

Then try adding your Facebook pages or Instagram account in question again.
